A Producer Co. Operative Enterprise
In India, 85% of the farmers are small and marginal with land holdings of less than 2 hectares. This fragmentation in farmers and farm lands, leads to disorganization and it is not viable for them to adopt the latest technologies. By organizing these farmers they can be empowered and the livelihood of farmers can be improved.
As elsewhere in the developing world, small farmers’ livelihoods are being threatened due to the liberalization and privatization. In this environment of greater instability and competition, we are assiduous in helping to enhance farmers’ competitiveness and increase their advantage in emerging market opportunities. We facilitate smallholder farmers to participate in emerging high-value markets, such as the export market and the modern retail sector.
